Director, Vendor Management
Job DescriptionThe Director, Vendor Management will report directly to the VP, MCC Network Management and Strategy. The position provides leadership in developing internal processes and standards. Additionally, the Director will help establish standard requirements for outsourced services and methods to assure that strategic sourcing and relationship management best practices are employed to ensure top quality services are maintained. He/she will have direct oversight of all outsourced vendor activities. He/she will be accountable for monitoring vendors’ compliance with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, performance guarantees and company policies. He/she will also assist with ongoing outsourcing strategy review and development. He/she will apply knowledge and make recommendations of industry best practices to maximize the value of provider/vendor relationships, establish key contractual and business relationships with additional service providers as needed, and contribute to success of ongoing strategic provider/vender relationships. Also responsible for processes governing contract negotiation and change order management to increase project efficiency, quality and the timely achievement of deliverables; monitor consistency across providers and programs; and ensure cost-effective outsourcing. The Director will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining complete documentation including status reporting, management presentations, scoping documents, process documentation and gap analysis documents related to vendor management, performance audits and monitoring of performance guarantees. He/she will be required to work cross-functionally to analyze, design and develop business solutions as it pertains to vendor management planning and contracting.
Minimum Requirements Education: BA/BS
Experience: 8+ years
Field(s) of study: Business related field
5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the healthcare or related industry in a vendor management, contracting, credentialing and monitoring role. Healthcare industry knowledge, vendor performance and relationship management in an outsourced environment preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business related field preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication, planning and organization skills- Strong internal and external customer focus- Outstanding conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills- Best practice development and implementation- Business process outsourcing experience, data analytics and a track record of delivering process improvements and cost efficiencies- Excellent documentation and organizational skills- Understanding of Contracting, Credentialing and Monitoring of vendors- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into in initial contractual language for legal- Positive approach toward business management with flexibility and willingness to try new tasks/assignments- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
