Job Description

TMG by Magellan Health is seeking an Integrated Employment Specialist in our Madison, WI office (preferred). Remote candidates may be considered as long as candidates are able to come to our Madison, WI office at least one day per month or more as needed.

The Integrated Employment Specialist will work as a member of TMG’s IRIS Consultant Agency (ICA) Operations Team to provide oversight, leadership and direction for employment initiatives designed to improve employment outcomes for people enrolled in TMG's ICA.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and implement strategies and processes to improve integrated employment outcomes for people partnering with TMG’s ICA.
  • Provide ongoing support, coaching and guidance to IRIS Consultants and Supervisors on employment-related matters such as:
    • Coordination with local DVR offices and employment service providers;
    • Engaging people enrolled in IRIS and their families in employment planning;
    • Developing employment-related outcomes, strategies and services for people;
    • Problem-solving for best employment approaches/service; and
    • Coordination of transition services for students leaving high school.
  • Facilitate the development of regional employment plans tailored to the local resources, providers, employment opportunities, and employment trends unique to each area.
  • Coordinate with TMG’s Learning and Development Team to develop and maintain internal employment-related resources and training materials, and to conduct employment-related training programs for Consultant Services staff. 
  • Attend IRIS Supervisor team meetings as needed to provide integrated employment education, strategy, and support to Consultants.
  • Coordinate with TMG’s Community Partnership Team to identify and implement targeted outreach to employment service providers and to participate in statewide employment initiatives.
  • Review employment data reports regularly to assess the effectiveness of TMG’s employment initiatives, and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Provide TMG management with guidance and expertise on employment-related matters.
  • Represent TMG at external stake holder meetings including the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) External MCO/ICA Employment Workgroup.
  • Coordinate with TMG’s Data Team to collect and upload required DHS employment data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, public policy, healthcare, social work or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in vocational rehabilitation, job development, social work, economic development, public administration or a related field with a strong focus on employment for underserved populations.
  • Significant experience in the field of long-term care, mental health, public health, public policy and/or healthcare as a Social Worker, Counselor or similar position. Volunteer and personal/family experience with health issues may be considered in lieu of paid healthcare experience.
  • Experience in conflict management in the work setting, preferably healthcare.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain adequate auto insurance for job-related travel as requested.
